Project KALA (Kaarigar-Artisans Labor Association) is a social initiative that shines a light on the beauty and uniqueness of artisanal crafts, as well as the sustainability of their production practices. Our work involves the development of resources to raise awareness about artisans and their craft, as well as to showcase their perspectives on ethical goods production, academic initiatives to create greater insight into local artisans’ businesses, and campaigns to support their economic empowerment.
