Our Work

Driven by the intention to gather more information on the status of the contemporary handicrafts market in Jaipur, we worked on developing a unique survey in partnership with the Jaipur Rugs Foundation. This survey was distributed to artisans in Rajasthan in order to gather details on the lived experiences of selling handicrafts, as well as the trade cycle, profitability, product sourcing, market growth, and finally the challenges afflicting these communities. The purpose of this exercise was to establish a fertile database through which we have authored a comprehensive report based on these surveys for further educational awareness.

To add to this initiative, we launched an extensive fundraising campaign, the Helping Hand-icrafts Fundraiser, on Milaap to provide tangible economic assistance to the work of these communities.
